Kathmandu: The price of gold has witnessed a notable rise in the domestic market. As per the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Associations, hallmark gold prices have surged by Rs 1,600 per tola (equivalent to 11.66 grams), reaching a new high of Rs 140,900. This significant increase comes after hallmark gold was traded at Rs 139,300 on Friday.

Similarly, the price of worked gold has also seen a substantial uptick, reaching Rs 140,200 per tola, compared to Rs 138,650 on the preceding trading day.

The surge in gold prices reflects global market trends and investor sentiments amid ongoing economic uncertainties. As investors seek safe-haven assets, the demand for gold has intensified, driving prices upward in the domestic market.

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Associations advises consumers and investors to closely monitor market developments and make informed decisions regarding gold transactions amidst fluctuating prices.
